About Mosaic Seasons

Mosaic Seasons was founded in 2023 by composer Tatiana Svetlova as a classical music festival based in the South of France and Monaco. Beginning with the 2025–2026 season, Mosaic Seasons will expand its reach to London (UK), Vienna and Salzburg (Austria), Augsburg (Germany), and Paris (France).

The festival’s mission is threefold:

  1. To present its signature series “The Music of Today”
  2. To collaborate with exceptional yet underrepresented artists in unique and inspiring venues
  3. To bring music to children as part of their educational and imaginative journey

Mosaic Seasons envisions a creative dialogue between music, poetry, art, and dance, creating a rich tapestry of artistic experiences.

Beyond concerts, audiences are invited to enjoy informal gatherings with the artists, after-concert soirées, masterclasses, and lectures, fostering a deeper connection between performers and the public.

Venues

Mosaic Seasons has presented concerts in some of Europe’s most iconic locations, including Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Yacht Club de Monaco in Monte Carlo, Bechstein Hall in London, Konzerthaus in Vienna, Mozarteum in Salzburg…

Further venues will be unveiled in upcoming seasons.

Programmes

Mosaic Seasons presents a diverse repertoire, embracing both the classical canon and contemporary creations. The festival also commissions new works, such as the 2023 world premiere of a piano piece by Elena Firsova, performed live by Elizabeth Leonskaja.

Looking ahead, the 2025 Music of Our Time programme will premiere on 14 March 2025, featuring works by George Benjamin, Silvina Milstein, Geoffrey King, Edna Stern, and Tatiana Svetlova.

Mosaic Seasons is also committed to innovative productions, including a new opera planned for 2028.

Young Audiences

Introducing children to music and theatre is at the heart of Mosaic Seasons’ educational vision. In October 2023, the festival premiered “Carnival Party!”, a delightful show for children created by Edna Stern and Tatiana Svetlova, inspired by Schumann’s Carnaval, Op. 9.

Performed at the Yacht Club in Monte Carlo, the production combines music, storytelling, and theatrical magic. Children leave the performance with a special Carnival Party book and a recording of the music, encouraging further exploration at home.

The next performance of “Carnival Party!” will take place at Curzon Cinema, Mayfair, London in early 2026.

Following two sold-out classical music concerts at the Villa Ephrussi in 2021, Mosaic Art & Music is launching a new music festival for the Cote D’Azur.

The festival brings together some of the world’s most exciting classical musicians to an audience of music lovers who appreciate the opportunity to hear live music in an intimate and exclusive environment.

The magnificent Villa Ephrussi in St Jean Cap Ferrat will be the main venue for the festival, hosting a series of concerts in one of the most beautiful settings in the south of France.

The festival brings together established world class musicians and emerging talent, all of whom have won international competitions but have yet to fully make their mark on the international music scene. This is the pioneering raison d’etre of the festival: a stage on which these young musicians can launch their international careers, from a classical music festival in France.

The festival will feature recitals as well as series of master-classes led by French pianist and pedagogue Jacques Rouvier, and Elisabeth Leonskaja – both veterans of the classical music scene, who share a passion for passing on their knowledge and expertise to the younger generation.

Students from the Monaco and Nice Conservatoires will be invited to take part in these master-classes, and benefit from Maestro Rouvier’s and Elisabeth Leonskaja’s decades of experience.

The Festival’s artistic adviser is Didier de Cottignies, the artistic director of the Orchestra of Monte Carlo. Another stalwart of the classical music world, Didier brings his unparalleled knowledge and experience and is an invaluable asset to this new Festival.

Running alongside the music will be an exhibition of artworks by leading modern masters and young artists working in a variety of media. The works exhibited will reflect the pairing theme of the music festival – bringing together established artists included in major collections alongside those to watch out for.

    Sponsor Support

We are looking for corporate support to deliver an exceptional first Festival. As well as all the usual benefits on ticketing and branding, the Festival organisers welcome suggestions from potential partners on how they would wish to be involved, and at what level, including the possibility of holding a Gala Dinner and other events at which performers will be present.

The opportunity to connect in meaningful and memorable ways through art and music is second to none.

    The Musicians

    Elisabeth Leonskaja

    Piano

For decades now, Elisabeth Leonskaja has been among the most celebrated pianists of our time. In a world dominated by the media, Elisabeth Leonskaja has remained true to herself and to her music, and in doing so, is following in the footsteps of the great Russian musicians of the Soviet era, such as David Oistrakh, Sviatoslav Richter and Emil Gilels, who never wavered in their focus on the quintessence of music despite working in a very difficult political environment. As soon as she walks out on the stage, audiences can sense the force behind the fact that music is and always has been her life’s work.

“Elisabeth Leonskaja’s journey leads from one pinnacle to another. By constantly excelling herself, driven by her own personal demands, by her passion and her intelligence she has scaled the heights achieved only by the greatest, not just of today, but of an entire epoch: those of a Clara Haskil, a Lipatti, and of modernity to boot.” – Andre Boucourechliev, Diapasan music journal.
